Description

The Center on Better Health & Life focuses on improving health of underserved populations through developing and testing community-based programs to address health disparities. Internship positions are available through a competitive application process. Once selected, students can enroll in a three-credit participation in research course to learn the community-based participatory research approach, become familiar with the research process, and develop a project of focus. Students then have the option to enroll in the advanced community-based research course to complete the project of focus under the guidance of faculty and staff in the Center. The academic products for this course include a research manuscript and an oral presentation. All students will have the opportunity to receive performance feedback during their Center experience. Based on performance, selected students can become involved as paid staff. Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply.
